- Caution on Slippery Surfaces
Our Maintenance, Custodial, and Transportation staff have been working hard over the past two days to ensure the safety of our students and staff. However, please note that some areas may refreeze overnight, potentially creating slippery spots in parking lots and on sidewalks. We encourage everyone to exercise caution when entering and exiting our facilities.
For extra stability on icy surfaces, consider "walking like a penguin" by taking small, flat-footed steps and keeping your center of gravity over your feet (see illustration below). - Dress for the Weather
Temperatures will be in the single digits during morning drop-off. Please ensure that students are dressed warmly, including coats, hats, gloves, and scarves, to protect against the cold. - Late Arrivals
To prioritize safety, Haysville schools will not count students tardy for arriving late tomorrow morning. Take your time and focus on arriving safely.
Thank you for your attention to these matters. Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
